At our company we use both SVN and GIT. I didn’t know that there exist many such SCM tools.
Thought I would list them here. (No, the Wikipedia doesn’t list them either). 🙂
- Accurev
- Bazaar
- BitKeeper
- ClearCase
- CMVC
- File System
- Git*
- Mercurial
- Perforce
- PVCS SCM
- StarTeam
- Subversion*
- Synergy
- Team Foundation
- Foundation Server
- Template Project
- URL SCM
- Visual SourceSafe
*-We use at Spritle Software and with our clients.
There is a list at Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Source_Code_Management
At the bottom of the page. Don’t forget good ol’ CVS, Subversion’s predecessor. Man, looking at that list, I’ve used 1/3 of those and I still have waking nightmares about ClearCase/Quest.
Right. Missed CVS and also the nice table-list at wikipedia, it appeared like log message at the bottom.
Thank you.
